why i like podcasts.

because, for the most part, i can't be bothered to listen to them.

since the barrier to entry is so much higher to listen to a podcast than it is to read a weblog; and since a lot of people are now moving their most rambled ramblings from the post to the microphone; and since i'm suffering pretty badly from the many-headed hydra of continuous partial attention; the rise of podcasting means that there's less crap for me to have to even consider considering. and that, i think, is a blessing.
